It's Finally Friday
I have been looking forward to Friday all week - weekends are my favorite time as I get to lounge around, stamp, sip on hot spiced tea and I don't have to leave the house if I don't want to! I am really glad the holidays are finally over and I can get back to a somewhat normal routine and work on some DT projects and card orders without feeling supah rushed!

My best friend's daughter is having a baby in a couple of months and I am going to be making her baby shower invitations and working on all the shower favors, etc. I am so looking forward to getting to work on those. I better get to work on those soon as she will need 50+.

This sympathy card was for a card order that I got a few days ago. I haven't made many sympathy cards so I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go. After much thought I decided to go with Purely Pomegranate and Chocolate Chip - these two colors are so elegant together. I used Icing on the Cake from My Favorite Things for the borders around the sentiment. The sentiment is also from My Favorite Things and is in the Essential Sentiments set. The roses are from the Sweet Celebrations set from Hanna Stamps.

I will be playing all weekend and will have more things to post tomorrow!

Recipe:
Stamps: Icing on the Cake & Essential Sentiments - My Favorite Things, Sweet Celebrations - Hanna Stamps, Linen Background.
Ink: Palette Noir, Purely Pomegranate, Chocolate Chip
Cardstock: WW, Purely Pomegranate, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Paper Piercer, Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punches, Dimensionals, Blender Pen, 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.

This is a really pretty card. To me sympathy cards should be muted but not solemn..I like what you have done.

This is a beautiful card. The simple roses are so perfect for a sympathy card and that Chocolate Chip ribbon is in fact very elegant. I like this color combination because it is very elegant and yet still has a little life to it.

Beautiful sympathy card -- the roses are a perfect choice. This set is so versatile!

I think this card is simply stated and I love the colors. Sympathy cards are difficult for me and I don't make many of them either. This is a great card, the person who ordered it will love it. Thanks for sharing!
